So what! I applaud Krispy Kreme for trying to make something a unhealthy as a donut more healthy. Krispy Kreme now has a 180 calorie whole wheat glazed donut. It is still deep-fried in hydogenated fats; those nasty trans fats. Oh, and it's a whopping %56 fat. Compare that to their "usual" refined wheat glazed donut at 200 calories and 50% fat. All that fiber in the whole wheat must absorb 6% more fat. To summarize, the whole wheat donut has 20 calories fewer and 6% more fat than the refined wheat donut. You could burn those 20 calories by walking around the parking lot for 8 minutes. Recommendation: Bypass the Krispy Kreme, take a 30 minute walk to your grocery store, you'll burn 200+ calories, save gas and pollute less, then buy something healthy to eat.
